Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Singapore seeks an Aircraft Component Repair Technician II to perform hands-on repair and overhaul of aircraft components in a regulated aerospace setting. Ideal candidates hold a technical qualification (NTC/NITEC or equivalent) and at least 1 year of MRO or testing experience, with the ability to work rotating shifts

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on repair and overhaul of aircraft/APU components and LRUs, including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, assembly and testing.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electromechanical component issues.
• Work with pneumatic valves, fuel and oil pumps, electrical starters, wire harnesses and related aircraft components.
• Perform repair and overhaul activities in accordance with applicable technical documentation and approved repair procedures.
• Use precision measurement equipment, specialized tooling and test systems to evaluate component condition and performance.

Job Description Aircraft Component Repair Technician II BUILD YOUR TECHNICAL FOUNDATION IN AEROSPACE Put your mechanical, engineering or technical education into practice in a hands-on aerospace environment working with critical aircraft components. As an Aircraft Component Technician II, you will develop specialized technical knowledge by working directly with APU and aircraft components, including pneumatic valves, fuel and oil pumps, electrical starters, wire harnesses and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs). Through structured on-the-job training, you will gain practical experience in how aerospace components operate, how faults are identified, and how mechanical and electromechanical components are repaired, overhauled and tested. This position is ideal for candidates with a mechanical, engineering or technical background who enjoy hands-on problem solving, understanding how equipment works and applying their skills in a highly technical aerospace environment.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform hands-on repair and overhaul of aircraft/APU components and LRUs, including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, assembly and testing.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electromechanical component issues.
• Work with pneumatic valves, fuel and oil pumps, electrical starters, wire harnesses and related aircraft components.
• Perform repair and overhaul activities in accordance with applicable technical documentation and approved repair procedures.
• Use precision measurement equipment, specialized tooling and test systems to evaluate component condition and performance.
• Perform component testing and verify that repaired units meet required technical and performance specifications.
• Develop working knowledge of component function, common failure conditions and aircraft/APU repair processes.
• Work alongside experienced technical professionals in a highly regulated aerospace repair and overhaul environment.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable aerospace quality, safety and technical requirements.
• Participate in troubleshooting, problem-solving and continuous improvement activities focused on quality, productivity and operational performance.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in accordance with 5S and TPM standards.

You Must Have

• NTC/NITEC or equivalent technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Technology, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Automotive Technology, Marine Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance or a related technical discipline.
• 1+ year of hands-on technical experience involving MRO, assembly, troubleshooting, inspection or testing of mechanical or electromechanical equipment; experience may include pumps, valves, pneumatic or hydraulic systems, motors/starters, rotating equipment or similar equipment.
• Basic computer proficiency
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
