Job summary

WECRUIT PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a cargo logistics planner to allocate outbound space and coordinate shipments with airlines and freight carriers. The role involves tracking shipments, updating customers and stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to schedules and rates.

The ideal candidate will liaise with carriers, prepare rate proposals, and support pricing decisions through accurate reporting and consolidation of backlogged shipments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and allocate cargo space for outbound shipments to maximise capacity utilisation and operational efficiency.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively update customers, carriers, airlines, and relevant stakeholders on shipment status.
• Liaise with airlines and freight carriers regarding freight rates, shipment tracking, space availability, and operational enquiries.
• Prepare, maintain, and review customer selling rates and carrier buying rates to support competitive pricing and profitability.
• Coordinate shipment bookings and ensure cargo is uplifted according to agreed schedules, space allocations, and approved freight rates.
• Prepare shipment progress reports and profitability analyses for internal teams and relevant stakeholders.
• Handle requests for quotations (RFQs), prepare rate proposals, and coordinate tender submissions.
• Work closely with the sales team to respond to customer enquiries and recommend suitable freight solutions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customer selling rates and airline or carrier buying rates to support pricing decisions.
• Plan and coordinate the consolidation of backlogged or rolled-over shipments to optimise available cargo space and minimise delays.
• Arrange shipment bookings with airlines and other freight carriers in accordance with operational requirements.
• Coordinate with customer service and warehouse teams to ensure cargo readiness, timely handling, and adherence to scheduled uplift timelines.
