Job summary

Qualifications

• Min. Diploma or equivalent qualifications.
• Min. 5 years of relevant experience in air freight / freight forwarding (Export), with supervisory or managerial experience.
• Strong customer service and key account management experience.
• Strong knowledge of air freight operations and shipment processes.
• Strong leadership, delegation and team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Air Freight Customer Service Export team to ensure efficient and consistent service delivery.
• Act as the key point of contact for existing clients and manage customer expectations and requirements.
• Liaise closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth shipment execution.
• Manage operational and commercial requirements from shipment commencement through to completion of billing.
• Train, develop and mentor team members to strengthen service quality and operational capabilities.
• Oversee delegation, workload planning and team performance to ensure productivity and service standards.
• Monitor departmental KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure proper follow-up on customer requirements, operational issues and outstanding matters.
• Oversee billing, invoicing, client payments and inter-company payment processes with relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of shipment documentation and records.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions and other operational documentation.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, company procedures and quality standards.
