Job summary

Adecco Personnel Pte Ltd (Perm) in Singapore seeks an Operations Assistant to handle end-to-end air freight import shipments, coordinating arrival, customs clearance and final delivery, and to prepare import shipping documents. You will provide customers with timely shipment updates, respond to enquiries and work with airlines, transporters, warehouses and internal teams to resolve delays.

Qualifications

• Experience in air freight import or freight forwarding is preferred.
• Good understanding of import processes and shipping documents.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end air freight import shipments.
• Coordinate shipments from arrival and customs clearance through to final delivery.
• Prepare and verify import shipping documents.
• Provide customers with timely shipment updates and respond to enquiries.
• Coordinate with airlines, transporters, warehouses and internal teams.
• Monitor shipment progress and resolve delays or operational issues.
• Ensure shipments align with customer requirements, SOPs and timelines.
• Support billing and other shipment-related administrative duties.

Job description

Working Hours & Salary

• Salary: Up to $4,300, depending on experience
• Working Days: 5-day work week
• Rotating Shifts:
  • Morning: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Afternoon: 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM
  • Night: 10:00 PM - 7:45 AM (ability to work night shift is an advantage)

Shift Allowance:

• Operations Assistant: $7 per afternoon shift / $11 per night shift
• Operations Level: $200/month for afternoon shift / $300/month for night shift
