Job summary

Grab is seeking a senior technical leader to transform how we engineer with AI, raise the architectural bar for large-scale distributed systems, and create common platforms across the Grab ecosystem. This role is an architect-level individual contributor with an organisation-wide mandate to empower autonomous teams while maintaining architectural coherence.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering and system design.
• Driving AI-enabled engineering transformation, including agentic workflows, context/knowledge systems and guardrails.
• Architecting and scaling large distributed systems with high reliability and availability.
• Building or leading shared platform capabilities adopted across multiple products/lines.
• Leading cross-team architectural initiatives without direct reporting authority.

Responsibilities

• Transform the Software Development Lifecycle with AI to enable autonomy, faster feedback and higher quality.
• Architect high-throughput, highly available distributed systems powering key experiences.
• Build common platforms across the Grab ecosystem, identifying when to standardize and re-use across businesses.
• Enable autonomous teams while maintaining architectural coherence through reference architectures and guardrails.
