Job summary

NCS Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to plan, design, install, test and implement enterprise systems in line with specifications and SLAs.

You will lead a small team, configure OSs (Linux and Windows), manage AD/DNS, monitor performance, and coordinate with vendors; this role requires 24x7 standby on occasion.

Qualifications

• Experience in installing/configuring/troubleshooting Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) or Windows Server.
• Experience with AD/DNS, Splunk, Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager, BeyondTrust.
• Strong knowledge of networking technologies (OSI layers, TCP/IP).
• Familiarity with administration, performance tuning, and system monitoring.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team and provide guidance to team members.
• Install and configure operating systems and common services products.
• Upgrade and patch operating systems and services.
• Review monthly reports and change requests.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Evaluate and upgrade firewall and network hardware/firmware.
• Support Level 1 Engineers during problem resolution.
• Maintain SOPs, processes and guidelines.
• Provide technical advice to Service Deliver Manager/Project Manager.
• Liaise with vendors/OEM partners on technical matters.
• Willing to support 24x7 standby.

Responsible for planning, designing, installing, testing & implementing systems in accordance with specifications & service level. Where relevant, perform the necessary system programming & configuration.

• Leading a small team and providing guidance to team members.
• Installing and configuring operating systems and common services products.
• Upgrading and patching the operating systems and common services products.
• Reviewing of Monthly Reports and Change Requests
• Develop & maintain technical and configurations documentation
• Evaluate and upgrade firewall and network hardware and/or firmware
• Support Level 1 Engineers during problem determination and resolution whenever necessary.
• Maintains standard operating procedures (SOP), processes and guidelines.
• Provide technical advice and support Services Deliver Manager/Project Manager
• Aliasing with Vendors/OEM Partners on technical matters.
• Willing to support 24 X 7 standby

Qualifications

• Proven track record of installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) or Windows Server systems.
• Experience with common services products such as Active Directory/DNS, Splunk, Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager, BeyondTrust etc.
• Strong knowledge of networking technologies (OSI network layers, TCP/IP).
• Familiarity with administration, performance tuning, and system monitoring.
• Good communication skills (written, verbal, and face-to-face).
