Job summary

NCS is seeking a Systems Engineer to plan, design, install, test and implement complex systems in line with specifications and SLAs. You may lead a small team and mentor colleagues while ensuring reliable IT operations.

Responsibilities include configuring Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) or Windows Server environments, managing Active Directory/DNS, Splunk, endpoint protection, and network services. The role requires strong communication and a readiness to provide 24x7 standby support.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to install, configure and troubleshoot Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) or Windows Server systems.
• Experience with Active Directory/DNS, Splunk and endpoint protection tools.
• Strong networking knowledge including OSI layers and TCP/IP.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, install, test and implement systems per specifications and SLAs.
• Lead a small team and guide team members as needed.
• Install and configure operating systems and common services products.
• Upgrade OS and services, review monthly reports and change requests.
• Develop and maintain technical and configuration documentation.
• Evaluate and upgrade firewall and network hardware/firmware.
• Provide Level 1 support during problem resolution.
• Maintain SOPs, processes and guidelines.
• Coordinate with Vendors/OEM partners on technical matters and support 24x7 standby.

Job Description

Responsible for planning, designing, installing, testing & implementing systems in accordance with specifications & service level. Where relevant, perform the necessary system programming & configuration.

• Leading a small team and providing guidance to team members.
• Installing and configuring operating systems and common services products.
• Upgrading and patching the operating systems and common services products.
• Reviewing of Monthly Reports and Change Requests
• Develop & maintain technical and configurations documentation
• Evaluate and upgrade firewall and network hardware and/or firmware
• Support Level 1 Engineers during problem determination and resolution whenever necessary.
• Maintains standard operating procedures (SOP), processes and guidelines.
• Provide technical advice and support Services Deliver Manager/Project Manager
• Aliasing with Vendors/OEM Partners on technical matters.
• Willing to support 24 X 7 standby

Qualifications

• Proven track record of installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) or Windows Server systems.
• Experience with common services products such as Active Directory/DNS, Splunk, Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager, BeyondTrust etc.
• Strong knowledge of networking technologies (OSI network layers, TCP/IP).
• Familiarity with administration, performance tuning, and system monitoring.
• Good communication skills (written, verbal, and face-to-face).
