Job summary
VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (VSMC) seeks a highly skilled AI Application Engineer to apply LLMs, Generative AI, and AI-powered applications to 300mm wafer-fab manufacturing. You will partner with Fab users, manufacturing and IT teams to identify AI opportunities and deliver end-to-end AI solutions in production.
The role covers design, development, deployment, and continuous improvement of AI apps using MES, data systems, and fab workflows.
Qualifications
- PhD in CS/AI/ML or related field required.
- Strong knowledge of LLMs and Generative AI.
- Hands-on AI/ML or software development with AI.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Ability to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork.
- Experience in semiconductor manufacturing preferred.
- Experience deploying AI/ML in production environments.
- Familiarity with MES, SPC, and data systems.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Fab users and engineers to identify AI opportunities.
- Define practical AI/LLM use cases for wafer-fab operations.
- Translate requirements into technical AI solutions.
- Design and develop AI-powered applications with cross-functional teams.
- Deploy AI solutions into production Fab environment.
- Monitor performance and improve AI accuracy post-deployment.
- Ensure data security, reliability, and scalability of apps.
