Job summary

National University of Singapore’s CFG School of Computing seeks a Career Advisor to guide undergraduates and graduates in career exploration, job markets, and employability. You will coach individuals and groups, refine resumes, prepare for interviews, and help students adapt to an AI-driven workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, CS, CEng, Data Science, IS, or related discipline.
• Postgraduate qualification advantageous but not required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience across Banking/FinTech, ICT, Healthcare, or Professional Services.
• Familiarity with recruitment processes for technology roles, including assessment centres, technical interviews, coding assessments, and internship pathways.
• Comfort and curiosity in using AI tools in professional/educational settings.
• Strong written and verbal persuasive communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and management skills with ability to build communities and networks.
• Resilient and adaptable with ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Advise School of Computing undergraduates and recent graduates on career exploration, job market navigation, and employability strategies.
• Provide 1-on-1 and group coaching on career planning, resume and cover letter reviews, and interview preparation.
• Organise and facilitate workshops on essential career skills (resume writing, interviews, networking, workplace communication, personal branding) and industry events.
• Conduct internship and graduate briefings to help students prepare for hiring trends, workplace expectations and pivots.
• Develop experiential learning programmes to enhance career and workplace competencies.
• Collaborate with Industry Relations to strengthen employer engagement and connect students to opportunities.
• Support CFG/partner Faculties’ activities and events (e.g. Career Fest).
• Drive student engagement through digital career platforms, events and advisory resources.
• Support reporting, analysis, and continuous improvement of career services for assigned student segments.
