Job summary

Singapore Management University, within the School of Computing and Information Systems (SCIS), is seeking a researcher to investigate AI components in software ecosystems and assess safety and trustworthiness in production AI-based software. You will contribute to an agile academic research team and collaborate across disciplines.

Role requires experience in AI safety, programming, and familiarity with cloud/infrastructure practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in CS/IT/IS with a focus on software development.
• Experience in AI Safety research.
• Proficiency in programming languages.
• Familiarity with IaC and cloud systems.
• Publications in top AI/SE conferences.
• Experience with agent design (coding agents and GUI agents) preferred.
• Able to work in a small, agile academic research team.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and with teammates.

Responsibilities

• Investigating the AI components in software ecosystems.
• Understanding supply chain of these AI components.
• Identifying trustworthy issues in production-level AI-based software.
• Other duties assigned by the supervisor.
