Job summary

Singapore Management University invites applications for a Research Engineer within the School of Computing and Information Systems (SCIS). This 6-month contract (or until 14 July 2027) focuses on AI components in software ecosystems, with emphasis on supply chain considerations and trustworthy AI in production-level software.

• Experience in AI Safety research.
• Proficiency in programming software/languages.
• Familiarity in industrial software deployment practices (IaC, cloud systems).
• Proven track record (publications) in top AI/SE conference.
• Experience with agent design, such as coding agents and GUI agents, is preferred.
• Innovating new approaches and thinking outside the box.
• Ability to work cooperatively as part of a small, agile academic research team is essential.
• Self-motivated individual who can work independently and collaboratively with team members.
