Job summary

Standard Chartered is seeking an Audit Director - Artificial Intelligence to lead independent assurance over AI risks across Technology and Operations. You will govern AI risk, implement lifecycle governance, and provide oversight across audits for development, deployment, validation, monitoring and regulatory alignment.

The role requires strong leadership, deep AI risk knowledge, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while driving risk-based audit planning and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of AI risk, technology process, governance, risk management and control frameworks.
• Experience in AI environments including development, deployment, oversight and lifecycle governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the AI Risk audit portfolio and ensure coverage of emerging AI and technology risks.
• Drive annual audit planning, prioritisation and portfolio management.
• Allocate resources across engagements with the right skills and expertise.
• Provide oversight and challenge throughout the audit lifecycle with quality and timely delivery.
• Review and validate reporting to ensure observations and risk assessments are meaningful.
• Act as trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on AI risk and governance.
• Develop risk-based Audit Plan for the portfolio considering regulatory expectations and business changes.
• Maintain Audit Plan relevance as risk profile evolves.
• Ensure audits address key risks identified through risk assessment and monitoring.
• Drive GIAI priorities to improve audit delivery and risk coverage.
