Job summary

The Singapore Public Service is seeking an AI Engineer to build foundational AI infrastructure and enable domain experts to focus on strategic AI solutions. You will work within the Digital, AI and Transformation Department on cloud-based AI workloads, APIs, and data pipelines.

This role emphasizes secure, scalable AI model deployment, rapid prototyping, and rigorous technical validation across government AI initiatives. A strong Python and cloud background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML or related field
• 3+ years of AI/ML engineering or related roles
• Strong Python programming with TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn
• Experience with cloud infrastructure management for AI workloads (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Knowledge of MLOps, model deployment and monitoring
• Experience with API development and data pipelines for AI applications

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain cloud environments for AI workloads within GCC infrastructure
• Ensure secure connectivity between internal systems and AI tools
• Monitor AI model performance and perform system maintenance
• Implement security protocols for AI data handling and model deployment
• Develop automated data pipelines for model training and inference
• Apply MLOps practices for deployment, monitoring and maintenance
• Build and maintain AI model serving infrastructure and API endpoints
