Job summary

ChronoAI is seeking an engineer to work across Rust backend services and React frontend experiences, designing features from the agent runtime through to the user interface. You will use AI coding agents to increase delivery speed while ensuring architecture, security, reliability and quality of software.

You will build AI-native products, develop secure access for agents, design harnesses, and direct AI coding agents.

Qualifications

• You have built and shipped software, ideally AI-powered or AI-native products.
• You use AI coding agents in real development work and can explain task structuring and verification.
• You think in systems: architecture, interfaces and failure modes matter more than lines written.
• You have experience with agent workflows or harnesses, including iterative execution, tool use and feedback loops.
• You are comfortable with Rust, or have a strong systems-engineering background and plan to become proficient in it.
• You have strong React experience and can take ownership across the stack.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-native products and developer infrastructure end to end.
• Develop secure ways for agents to access tools and services, including short-lived credentials.
• Design agent harnesses, execution loops, tool interfaces, feedback mechanisms and verification systems.
• Explore and prototype new product directions, turning ideas into production software.
• Direct AI coding agents; review critical decisions, test outputs and own the final result.
• Build backend services in Rust and frontend experiences in React; React Native is a plus.
• Incorporate testing, observability, security and maintainability into definition of done.

About the role

You will work across Rust backend services and React frontend experiences, designing features from the agent runtime through to the user interface. You will use AI coding agents to increase your delivery speed, while remaining accountable for architecture, security, reliability and the software you ship.

Key responsibilities

• Build AI-native products and developer infrastructure end to end.
• Develop secure ways for agents to access tools and services, including scoped, short-lived access rather than exposed long-lived credentials.
• Design agent harnesses, execution loops, tool interfaces, feedback mechanisms and verification systems that allow agents to work reliably with less continuous human supervision.
• Explore and prototype new product directions, then turn promising ideas into production software.
• Direct AI coding agents such as Codex, Claude Code or Cursor; review critical decisions, test outputs and own the final result.
• Build backend services in Rust and frontend experiences in React; React Native experience is a plus.
• Make testing, observability, security and maintainability part of the definition of done.
