Job summary

Allegis Group Singapore Pte Ltd is recruiting an AI Engineer to join a technology team delivering AI-driven software development and platform transformation. You will work on modernising applications, automating workflows, and improving operations while driving AI adoption across the software lifecycle.

The role focuses on building POCs, refactoring legacy systems, and collaborating with global teams to deliver scalable AI-enabled solutions using Java and Python.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Apply an AI-first approach to software engineering, leveraging AI tools to accelerate solution design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and operational support.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand problems and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Rapidly build proof-of-concepts (POCs) and solution prototypes to validate use cases, demonstrate ROI, and obtain stakeholder buy-in.
• Modernise and refactor legacy applications, platforms, and data workflows across the technology landscape.
• Develop and maintain applications and automation solutions primarily using Java and Python.
• Support business-critical platforms through incident investigation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with global teams across multiple regions to deliver technology solutions and platform enhancements.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging AI capabilities to improve developer productivity and software delivery processes.

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience working with large-scale applications, platform engineering, system modernisation, or data-focused initiatives.
• Financial services experience is a plus, but domain expertise is secondary to mindset, adaptability, and technical problem-solving ability.
