Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and maintain AI applications using Python. You will build APIs, work with datasets, and implement AI/ML features while adhering to coding standards and security practices.

The role involves collaborating across teams, participating in Agile ceremonies, and contributing to technical documentation. Prior experience with Power Platform and Azure is advantageous.

Qualifications

• A degree/diploma in Information Technology, Computing, Computer Science or relevant.
• Strong foundation in Python, with the ability to write clean, efficient, and reliable code.
• Interest and willingness to work on AI/ML-related tools, frameworks, and platforms.
• Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and application integration concepts.
• Familiarity with SQL and working with relational databases.
• Openness to working with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) when required.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure and cloud-based services would be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with Git for source control.
• Experience or interest in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building, testing, and integrating AI/ML-powered features and proof-of-concepts.
• Translate user stories and business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Build efficient, reusable, and reliable code using best practices.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support AI and automation use cases.
• Work with structured and unstructured data to support AI model integration and evaluation.
• Support and build automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) as needed.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable AI-enabled solutions.
• Ensure adherence to code quality, security, and versioning standards.
• Participate in Agile development processes including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, experiments, and system architecture.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor
