Job summary

The National University of Singapore seeks a Network Operations Lead to oversee enterprise network services across campus, data centre, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will apply AI and automation to prevent incidents, speed troubleshooting, and improve service quality.

Lead day-to-day operations, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure secure, reliable connectivity and scalable network architectures.

Qualifications

• Hands-on network operations experience across enterprise or campus environments.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, wireless, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewall, and monitoring tools.
• Cloud network design concepts including VPC/VNet, hybrid connectivity, and cloud controls.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, Terraform) or orchestration tools.
• Ability to use AI tools safely for analysis, reporting, and automation with governance.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience collaborating with vendors and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to lead operational improvements and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day network operations, monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, and restoration.
• Manage enterprise, data centre, wireless, internet, VPN, firewall, and cloud connectivity.
• Design and review cloud network architectures across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Collaborate with app, infra, cloud, cybersecurity, and vendor teams to ensure reliability and security.
• Develop automation scripts, dashboards, and runbooks to improve operational efficiency.
• Apply AI-assisted tools for log analysis, incident summaries, root-cause analysis, and reporting.
• Lead post-incident reviews and drive preventive actions.
• Mentor network engineers in best practices, automation, and AI-enabled workflows.
• Ensure changes follow change management, testing, approval, rollback, and documentation.
