Job summary

A*STAR RESEARCH ENTITIES in Singapore is seeking a Research Engineer to design and implement AI-enabled solutions for manufacturing planning, scheduling, and inventory analytics. You will build backend services, data pipelines, and APIs that connect AI systems with manufacturing platforms for smarter decision-making.

You'll collaborate with AI/ML engineers, deploy models to production, and build scalable systems using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms, while supporting CI/CD and production

Qualifications

• Degree in AI, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of software development experience in enterprise systems.
• Experience with microservices and Angular.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub, etc.).
• Exposure to AI/ML model integration in production.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and integration of production planning and inventory optimization apps.
• Design backend services and APIs to support analytics workflows.
• Orchestrate multi-agent AI workflows within manufacturing systems.
• Connect AI apps with external platforms and enterprise tools.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to deploy models in production.
• Build scalable backend systems using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and production/staging environments.
• Contribute to AI-driven decision support platforms for manufacturing operations.
