VDL ETG Singapore is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement AI-driven automation for system integration and robotic assembly. You will optimize processes, implement defect detection, and ensure reliable operation across manufacturing tools.

The role requires a degree in Automation/Robotics, experience with PLCs and AI frameworks, and strong teamwork. Proficiency in Python and familiarity with EtherCAT/Modbus are preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation Engineering, Robotics, AI, Mechatronics, Mechanical or related field.
• Experience in automation engineering with focus on AI and robotics is preferred.
• Familiarity with PLC programming and industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT, Modbus, IoT etc).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python).
• Proven track record in designing and deploying robotic systems and AI-driven inspection tools is preferred.
• Knowledge of AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) including machine learning algorithms and robotic platforms is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement robotic systems for automated assembly processes.
• Liaise with stakeholders and develop AI-driven solutions for process optimization and defect detection.
• Identify Automation Opportunities in Manufacturing Processes.
• Ensure seamless communication between automation systems and other manufacturing tools.
• Troubleshoot and Maintain Automation Systems.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance to Ensure System Reliability.
• Train technicians and operators on the use of automated systems.
• Develop and Maintain Technical Documentation.
• Research and Implement Robotics and AI with MES for Real-Time Monitoring.
