Job summary

LTA invites applications for an IDE Computational Design Technologist (1-year temporary contract) to join the Infrastructure Design & Engineering Division in Singapore. You will apply parametric design methods and AI-driven digitalisation to station design criteria, develop interfaces, document backend troubleshooting, and participate in workshops with discipline leads.

Qualifications

Bachelor-level degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, Building Science, or Computer Science.
Strong parametric analytical thinking and IT skills for coding and scripting.
Ability to participate in team discussions and coordinate workshops.
Proficiency in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript to write and test rule evaluators.
Exposure to rule engines such as JSON Logic, DMN, or OPA/Rego.

Responsibilities

Conduct rule-set authoring to convert criteria into machine-readable code.
Build a context library of past station designs with known outcomes.
Assist leader to run workshops to set goals for review and validation.
Run structured technical sessions with discipline leads to validate interpretations.
