Job summary

sggovterp seeks a Computational Design Technologist on a 1-year temporary contract to advance AI digitalisation for Infrastructure Design & Engineering Division. You will work on computational parametric design, build a context library of station designs, and participate in workshops to set review goals.

Applicants should have a background in Architecture/Civil/Structural Engineering or Computer Science, plus coding skills (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript) and exposure to rule engines like JSON

Qualifications

[What the role is]

[LTA-IDE] COMPUTATIONAL DESIGN TECHNOLOGIST (1-YEAR TEMPORARY CONTRACT)

[What you will be working on]

As part of the team members developing AI digitalisation for Infrastructure Design & Engineering Division, you will focus on Computational parametric design and Ai generative digitalisation project for LTA Station Design Criteria. In addition to software development, this project covers a broad-spectrum including design of users’ interface, back-end documentation for troubleshooting, etc.

Some key tasks are as follows:

• Conduct Rule-set authoring toConvert Criteria into machine-readable code/rule-sets;

• Build the context library consisting a corpus of past station designs with known outcomes;

• Assist Leader to conduct series of Workshops to establish key goals for review and validations.

• Run structured technical sessions with discipline leads to validate interpretations.

[What we are looking for]

• Knowledge in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, Building Science, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Parametric analytical thinking skill set & IT expertise to carry out analysis, coding and script-writing to develop a platform for Ai Generative Digitalisation project
• Participate in team discussion and coordinate workshop
• Working proficiency in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript — able to write and test a rule evaluator, not only edit scripts.
• Exposure to rule or decision engines (JSON Logic, DMN, OPA/Rego) or to any regulated rules-as-code domain.
