Job summary

Micron Fab10 Singapore is seeking an Equipment/Production Engineer responsible for planning, scheduling, and implementing tool installations and chamber retrofits to optimize equipment performance. You will maintain maintenance schedules and support process engineers.

You will collaborate with facilities and vendors, contribute to continuous improvement, and apply AI-enabled insights while ensuring QMS and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering or Science is required.
• Must be able and willing to work on non-standard working hours (e.g. compressed, 12-hour night shifts).
• Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communicator, able to collaborate across all levels.
• Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning.
• Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable.
• Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred.
• Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools responsibly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning, scheduling, and implementing new tool installations, relocations, and chamber retrofits.
• Own and develop equipment maintenance procedures and schedules.
• Work with the process owners to develop, prioritize and manage projects to reduce defects, improve availability and find solutions to ongoing problems; and identify, quantify, and qualify cost reduction projects.
• Serve as the liaison between facilities, vendor reps, and shift personnel.
• Interact with process owners and tool vendors to develop new hardware, software, and technologies related to process and hardware performance improvements.
• Write and publish reports that summarize equipment availability improvements and cost reduction projects.
• All team members are required to complete their learning items within the stipulated time frame.
• Integrates AI‑assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI‑enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
• For business process and/or Quality Management System (QMS) component that one is responsible or accountable for: ensuring the QMS/business process is effective and conforms to requirements; ensuring processes deliver outcomes; reporting on performance and opportunities for improvement; ensuring customer focus; maintaining integrity when changes are planned.
