Job summary

Micron Singapore is seeking a Data Science Engineer to apply mathematics, statistics, semiconductor physics, materials science and IT to uncover patterns in data and develop predictive models and actionable insights.

You will collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers and UX teams to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets, build software, algorithms and automated processes, and drive improvement of production metrics and planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, OR equivalent with strong programming and modeling skills.
• Experience in semiconductor industry, especially in digital twin
• Experience in simulation modeling using discrete event simulation
• Experience in optimization modeling or OR using MILP/LP
• Knowledge of cloud solutions, API, Git, ETL
• Experience in JAVA, Python, SQL, HTML, C/C++, CSS and quick learning
• Strong problem solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and program methods to consolidate and analyze big data sources to generate actionable insights.
• Interact with product and service teams to identify questions and experiments for data analysis.
• Develop software programs, algorithms, and automated processes to cleanse, integrate, and evaluate large datasets.
• Identify meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources.
• Interpret and communicate insights and findings to managers.
• Explore and apply new frontier ideas to enable breakthrough solutions at Micron.
• Work with management and global sites to identify optimization opportunities and improve production metrics.
• Drive global collaboration and benchmarking of optimization and simulation solutions in planning & operations
