Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking a Staff Product Owner for Cost Solutions within Smart Manufacturing & AI to drive AI-enabled cost reduction across procurement and manufacturing. You will own the product backlog, collaborate with data scientists and engineers, and translate opportunities into measurable savings and improved workflows.

You are experienced in cost projects, familiar with semiconductor environments, and capable of leading multi-functional teams with strong communication and analytical

Qualifications

• At least 5-10 years of work experience in Cost projects and Cost initiatives within Operations/Procurement functions.
• Familiar with processes, systems and solutions preferably in the semiconductor industry.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with ability to lead cross-functional groups.
• Strong communication, both written and verbal.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with peers, senior and mid-level management.
• Peer leadership and relationship management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized and adaptable to changing business needs.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying AI/Generative AI and advanced analytics use cases for cost and procurement with measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Drive AI-enabled cost reduction and improvement initiatives across procurement and manufacturing.
• Own the product backlog and roadmap for AI-enabled cost solutions.
• Define requirements and priorities with data scientists, engineers and business partners.
• Deliver a portfolio of AI/use cases including spend and supplier intelligence and contract analytics.
• Establish before/after measurement frameworks for cost, cycle time and productivity.
