Job summary

HI5 ELITE PTE. LTD. is seeking a software engineer to develop, test and maintain applications using Python and Java.

The role focuses on backend systems, REST APIs and microservices, with Spring Boot expertise to build scalable web apps. You will design databases (PostgreSQL/Oracle) and integrate AI features using LLMs and NLP techniques. Applicants should hold a Master’s in a related field and have at least 3 years of experience, including cloud, CI/CD, and Linux deployment familiarity.

Qualifications

• Master degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Java programming.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC and REST API development.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and backend development.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or Oracle databases.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Jenkins, Git and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of Linux environments and deployment.
• Experience in AI applications, LLMs, RAG or NLP is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain software applications using Python and Java.
• Design and develop backend systems, REST APIs and microservices.
• Build scalable web applications with Spring Boot and related frameworks.
• Develop and integrate AI-powered applications using LLMs, RAG pipelines and NLP.
• Design and manage databases using PostgreSQL and Oracle.
• Implement secure authentication, data validation and error handling.
• Perform application testing, debugging and troubleshooting.
• Support deployment, production releases and system maintenance.
• Work with cloud platforms and CI/CD to improve software delivery.
• Collaborate with project teams to understand business requirements and deliver solutions.
