Job summary

WTW in Singapore seeks an APAC AI Director to lead the build-out of our APAC AI capability, transforming how insurers operate across pricing, underwriting, claims, reserving and financial reporting.

You will lead end-to-end AI transformation engagements, design AI workflows, embed AI into client workflows, and scale repeatable delivery while upskilling colleagues and driving AI adoption across client propositions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in insurance consulting, insurance operations, analytics, data science, digital transformation, or AI-enabled business transformation.
• Proven track record leading large-scale transformation programmes within General Insurance, Life Insurance, or Reinsurance.
• Experience delivering AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, or automation initiatives with measurable business outcomes.

The APAC AI Director will support the build out of our APAC AI capability as a core growth engine of the business, transforming how insurers operate across pricing, underwriting, claims, reserving, and financial reporting.

This Is a Commercial Role Accountable For

• Support in selling AI transformation programmes. Providing AI domain expertise and working with consultants
• Designing AI workflows to support WTW propositions
• Embedding AI into live client workflows
• Scaling repeatable, high-margin delivery
• Driving AI adoption across all client propositions
• Upskilling capabilities for AI workflow design and build

Client

• Lead end-to-end AI transformation engagements across:
• Pricing optimisation
• Underwriting decision support
• Financial reporting
• Claims automation and triage
• Reserving
• Predictive analytics
• And other client use cases
• Develop flagship use cases that anchor client conversations

Proposition & Go To Market

• Equip colleagues and client leaders with practical AI sales tools and propositions
• Elevate the firm’s external position through thought leadership and client impact
• Feed into the global development of proprietary AI-enabled capabilities, based on proven client demand
• Participate in internal AI builds that will improve consultant productivity

People

• Drive AI adoption across the firm
• Every proposal includes AI elements
• Teams are trained on practical AI application
• Support reskilling to train teams to deliver AI consulting projects

Qualifications

The Requirement

• 10+ years of experience in insurance consulting, insurance operations, analytics, data science, digital transformation, or AI-enabled business transformation.
• Proven track record leading large-scale transformation programmes within:
• General Insurance
• Life Insurance
• Reinsurance
• Ideally have strong consulting experience
• Demonstrated experience delivering AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, or automation initiatives that have generated measurable business outcomes.
• Experience selling and delivering complex consulting engagements valued at senior executive and board level.
• Understanding of insurance value chains including:
• Pricing and rating
• Underwriting
• Claims management
• Reserving
• Financial and regulatory reporting
• Distribution and customer servicing
• Experience working with C-suite stakeholders including CEOs, COOs, CUOs, CFOs, Chief Actuaries, Chief Data Officers, and Chief Transformation Officers.
• Experience within a leading consulting firm, insurance advisory practice, insurtech, or digital transformation consulting business.
• Exposure to Generative AI, Agentic AI, workflow automation, AI-enabled decision support, and enterprise AI deployment. AI is increasingly being embedded directly into underwriting support, claims automation, customer communications, pricing decisions, and workflow orchestration.
