Job summary

Unison Group is seeking an experienced AI Developer to design and build AI agents and Generative AI solutions for advanced manufacturing. You will work with PhD-level domain experts to transform knowledge into scalable AI-driven systems using Azure AI services.

The role requires strong Python programming skills and hands-on experience with LLM-based apps, RAG pipelines, and AI agents. Collaborate across engineering and DevOps for deployment and lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• Strong programming experience in Python.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure AI ecosystem and services.
• Experience building Generative AI applications using LLMs.
• Experience developing AI agents, RAG-based applications, and LLM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI agents and end-to-end Generative AI solutions for complex manufacturing and technical use cases.
• Collaborate with domain experts, engineers, and researchers to translate challenges into AI-driven solutions.
• Map technical processes into structured AI workflows and intelligent automation systems.
• Develop and integrate solutions using Azure AI services (Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure ML, Cognitive Services).
• Develop LLM-powered applications including RAG pipelines, AI agents, tool-calling workflows, and knowledge-based automation.
• Design prompt engineering strategies and optimize AI model performance.
• Develop orchestration workflows using AI frameworks and agent-based architectures.
• Deploy, monitor, maintain, and optimize AI solutions in production with security and governance.

This role involves working closely with PhD-level domain experts and technical specialists to understand scientific and industrial challenges, map complex workflows, and transform domain knowledge into scalable AI-driven solutions using the Microsoft Azure AI ecosystem.

The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills in Python, hands‑on experience with LLM-based applications, RAG pipelines, AI agents, and Azure AI services, along with the ability to bridge the gap between technical domain expertise and AI engineering.
