Job summary

GovTech in Singapore is hiring senior engineers to build AI-enabled products and platform components for public-sector use. You will work on LLM integration, agentic workflows, evaluation harnesses, and scalable, policy-sensitive AI systems with strong emphasis on reliability and governance.

You will collaborate with product managers, designers, data scientists, and governance colleagues to shape deliverables and ensure human accountability throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in AI/ML, data science, or software engineering
• Completed at least one hands-on AI development and deployment end-to-end project
• Strong fundamentals in software engineering: design, testing, version control, CI/CD, observability, security
• Ability to explain trade-offs clearly and defend technical positions
• Comfort with ambiguity and translating policy/operational needs into product-ready solutions
• Interest in AI-native engineering: LLM apps, evaluation, memory, multimodal models
• Pragmatic tool choice for durable, scalable systems
• Ownership mindset from prototyping to deployment and monitoring

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and operate AI-enabled products and platform components across NEA.
• Work on LLM integration, agentic workflows, evaluation harnesses, observability, guardrails, model access, and multimodal AI use cases.
• Turn ambiguous operations problems into maintainable software with clear success metrics.
• Build production features for automation, tools, assistants, and deterministic and agentic workflows.
• Create reusable engineering patterns, templates, playbooks, and reference implementations.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, data scientists, governance colleagues, and business owners.
• Use AI coding and development tools to accelerate delivery with human accountability for design and quality.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, incident response, and technical decision-making.
• Push for root-cause fixes rather than patches.
