Job summary

ByteDance’s AI Data & Safety team is seeking an Analyst to lead data annotation and evaluation projects across AI modalities, shaping data workflows and quality metrics. You will analyze datasets, ensure statistical validity, and collaborate with product managers, researchers, and data annotators to drive high-quality data for model iteration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with strong academic record.
• ≥ 1 year experience in cross-team project management, operations, data analysis or related roles; coordinate with PM, R&D, operations, and middle-platform teams.
• Ability to balance individual judgment with teamwork in fast-paced settings.
• Demonstrates strong data sensitivity and analytical skills to support business decisions with data.
• Interest in AI, large models, and human-computer interaction; willingness to learn and collaborate.
• Self-motivated with responsibility; adapt to fast-paced environments and optimize tools/processes.
• Business proficiency in English and Mandarin with strong communication across regions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage data annotation, evaluation, and user growth projects across AI modalities; ensure timelines and quality standards.
• Design, manage, and optimize workflows for each project; develop guidelines and ensure alignment on quality metrics.
• Design robust data analysis strategies; validate data quality and provide data-driven insights for model improvement.
• Regularly learn about competitors and cutting-edge AI technologies; share learnings to improve team practices.
