Job summary

The AI and Data Governance Specialist will join ISD's Data and AI Governance unit under the Chief Data Officer to help shape data policy, security, and risk management across government data assets. You will work with cross-functional teams to implement data governance frameworks, manage data ownership, and ensure compliance with government standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Engineering or related fields.
• Certifications such as CDMP, CIMP, CGEIT and AIGP are preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in data governance, data management or IT governance is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain AI and data governance frameworks, policies, and SOPs.
• Translate business needs into governance processes, controls and operating models.
• Streamline and automate data governance workflows to strengthen operations.
• Support data ownership, metadata, data quality rules, and data lineage requirements.
• Provide guidance on governance policy, standards, controls and implementation approaches.
• Engage senior stakeholders to align priorities and secure decisions for program delivery.
• Oversee the data awareness program to train ISD officers on proper data handling.
