Job summary

Gateway Search Pte Ltd in Singapore is partnering with a fast-growing AI infrastructure provider to recruit an AI Infrastructure Architect focused on hardware and the physical layer. You will own end-to-end hardware design for large-scale GPU data centers and drive decisions from topology to cabling.

This hands-on role requires deep knowledge of GPU platforms, InfiniBand/RoCE fabrics, NVLink, liquid cooling, and BOM production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in server or data center hardware architecture.
• Deep understanding of server architecture (CPU, GPU, memory, PCIe, NVLink).
• Experience with GPU platforms such as NVIDIA HGX and large-scale clusters.
• Strong vendor management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proven ability to deliver architecture proposals and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end hardware architecture for AI data centers, covering compute, GPU and accelerators, networking, storage, racks and supporting infrastructure.
• Design GPU cluster topology across intra-node interconnects (NVLink/NVSwitch) and inter-node fabric (InfiniBand/RoCE).
• Own the physical layer: switch selection, port planning, transceivers, DAC/AOC vs. fiber strategy, cable management.
• Evaluate and validate servers and components and produce BOMs for switches, optics and cabling.
• Oversee hardware delivery: rack-and-stack, structured cabling, power-on and acceptance testing.
• Lead physical-layer troubleshooting including link errors and cabling faults.
• Track emerging technologies (CPO, liquid cooling) and evolve architecture for performance and cost efficiency.
