Job summary

Tencent Overseas IT (OIT) AI Compute team in Singapore is seeking an AI Forward Deployed Engineering Intern. You’ll bridge business teams and engineering/vendor groups to specify AI infrastructure needs, coordinate resources, and drive delivery across regions.

The role offers hands-on exposure to AI models, agents, GPU compute, and cloud platforms. Ideal candidates are technically curious, proactive, and strong communicators who thrive in a fast-paced, international environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to work effectively with business teams, engineers, and external vendors.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional and international environment.
• Strong interest in AI, machine learning, LLMs, and AI agents.
• Basic understanding of how AI models work and an ability to discuss different AI models, their capabilities, limitations, and potential applications.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with internal business teams to understand AI, infrastructure, and technical requirements.
• Support the team in coordinating engineering, vendor, and business stakeholders to ensure requirements are delivered effectively.
• Assist with the delivery of AI/GPU infrastructure, cloud, and compute-related solutions.
• Participate in projects from initial requirements gathering through implementation, testing, and acceptance.
• Help investigate and coordinate solutions for technical or operational issues.
• Develop an understanding of AI models, AI agents, and practical applications of AI in business and infrastructure environments.
• Support technical documentation, project tracking, and knowledge sharing.
• Assist with evaluating technical solutions and understanding their suitability for different use cases.
• Communicate project status, requirements, issues, and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Participate in team meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions across regional teams.
