Job summary

NCS is seeking an AI Engineer Intern in Singapore to contribute to an enterprise-grade AI platform. Youll work with AI Engineers on real components like model routing, cost tooling, guardrails, and deployment automation, gaining hands-on experience in a live system.

This internship emphasizes practical learning, exposure to AI architectures, responsible-AI practices, and observable engineering workflows. Youll grow technical skills while delivering tangible results for enterprise customers.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts (e.g. LLMs, APIs) or strong willingness to learn.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Familiarity with version control (e.g. Git), basic software engineering practices, and observability tooling (OpenTelemetry/OTel) is a plus.
• Ideal for building hands-on AI engineering experience on a real enterprise AI platform.

Responsibilities

• Write and debug code under supervision, primarily Python.
• Understand core AI/ML concepts used on the platform.
• Assist with testing, bug fixes, and small feature work.
• Learn and use the team’s tools and systems.
• Build confidence and independence over the internship.
• Complete clearly scoped tasks and communicate progress.
• Break down larger work into smaller tasks.
• Document what you’ve built for review.
• Work within agreed timelines.
