Job summary

Xtremax in Singapore is seeking an AI Application Engineer to turn AI prototypes into secure production-ready apps. You will work on AI-enabled solutions like chatbots, RAG apps, workflow assistants, agents, and automation tools.

You will own full-stack development across frontend and backend, integrating Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search and other Microsoft services, with a focus on security, observability, and cost control.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on software engineering experience.
• Strong full-stack capability with React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, .NET, Java.
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs, backend services, databases, authentication and enterprise integrations.
• Practical experience building AI-enabled applications using LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector search, agents, and automation.
• Working knowledge of Azure services including Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, Azure Machine Learning, and API management.
• Experience applying secure software development practices including input validation, secrets management, and least-privilege access.
• Understanding of authentication/authorization standards (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT, RBAC).
• CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Refactor prototypes into secure, production-grade AI apps with robust APIs and automated deployment.
• Design, build, and harden AI-enabled applications including chatbots and RAG solutions.
• Translate business use cases into measurable outcomes and production requirements.
• Develop full-stack capabilities across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and data integrations.
• Collaborate with platform teams on cloud deployment, CI/CD, containerisation, and monitoring.
• Ensure security, privacy, responsible AI, observability, and cost management from start.
