Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Strong full-stack capability using React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, .NET, Java.
• Experience designing REST APIs, backend services, databases, authentication, and enterprise integrations.
• Practical experience building AI-enabled applications using LLMs, RAG, embeddings, agents, or orchestration frameworks.
• Working knowledge of Azure services including Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, Azure ML, App Service, Container Apps, API Management, Key Vault, Monitor.
• Experience applying secure software development practices: input validation, secrets management, least-privilege access, logging, error handling, secure configuration.
• Understanding of authentication/authorization standards including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT, RBAC, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, ShipHATS.
• Familiarity with containerisation, cloud deployment patterns, and production support.
• Ability to assess prototype quality and production-readiness considerations.
• Knowledge of AI risks including hallucination, data leakage, prompt injection, and privacy concerns.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Refactor prototypes into secure, production-grade AI applications with robust APIs and automated deployment pipelines.
• Design, build, and harden AI-enabled applications including chatbots, RAG solutions, and automation tools.
• Collaborate with product owners to translate use cases into measurable outcomes and adoption metrics.
• Develop full-stack capabilities across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and data integrations.
• Integrate applications with approved AI and enterprise services (Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, Azure ML, Microsoft Graph).
• Apply secure and responsible AI patterns including prompt management, grounding, and content safety controls.
• Develop reusable AI patterns, starter templates, and engineering playbooks to accelerate delivery.
• Build automated testing for AI apps (functional, regression, prompt evaluation).
• Implement observability across logs, model usage, latency, and cost; support production monitoring and handover.
