Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a software engineer to join a team developing next-generation Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) for defence applications. You will contribute to mission-critical software used in autonomous flight operations, ground control, and simulation environments.

Responsibilities include gathering requirements, designing robust software, and validating systems to meet aerospace standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in C, C++, C#; Python/JavaScript beneficial.
• Experience with Git source control and software testing practices.
• Familiarity with Visual Studio, .NET, and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of agile and waterfall development life cycles.
• Willingness for overseas deployment and cross-border collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define software specifications for UAS.
• Design and develop robust, scalable software meeting aerospace standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop real-time embedded systems and ground control/simulation software.
• Perform thorough testing, validation, and code reviews to ensure reliability and safety.
• Travel overseas for deployment as needed and contribute to continuous improvement.
