Job summary

GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore is seeking a skilled TIG welder to join our repair development team. You will set up and weld high temperature alloys for turbine engine components, using TIG welding and adhering to repair manuals.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE 'O' level with 3 years of relevant experience in TIG Welding.
• Preferably NITEC/Higher NITEC in welding.
• Relevant TIG certificates; or Preferably CAAS approval in TIG Welding/General Welding or equivalent.
• Able to read and understand the manufacturing operation sheets and standard operation procedures in English.

Responsibilities

• Apply necessary gas back-up and chilled bars as required to perform efficient weld repair.
• Perform manual and laser weld of all products with different weld configurations.
• Identify and replace basic fixture/tooling due to wear and tear.
• Simple refining of welding parameters.
• Perform scheduled maintenance & housekeeping tasks.
