Job summary

RTX seeks an Inspection and Quality Engineer onsite in Singapore to develop detailed inspection plans for aerospace components, collaborate with design teams, and select appropriate inspection tools. You will establish tolerances, create traceable documentation, and support audits while maintaining compliance with AS9100 and FAA standards.

The role requires a degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in GD&T, CMM, and CAD tools, plus strong analytical and communication

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T.
• Proficient in inspection tools and equipment (CMM, calipers, micrometers).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to perform root cause analysis.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems meeting AS9100/AS9102/AS13100.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with CAD/drawing software and interpretation of engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of CMM and NDT is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work rotating shifts.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed inspection plans for aerospace components and assemblies ensuring compliance with customer requirements and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to define inspection methods and criteria for new parts and systems.
• Identify and select inspection tools and measurement equipment (CMM, optical, gaging).
• Establish acceptance criteria and tolerances based on drawings and specifications.
• Create and maintain inspection reports, records and traceability documentation.
• Develop inspection records supporting traceability and certification (FAI, in-process, final inspections).
• Create CMM or gear programming for in-process and final inspections.
• Ensure inspection processes adhere to AS9100, AS9110, AS9120, NADCAP and FAA rules.
• Ensure safety standards and training for personnel.
• Support internal and external audits of inspection processes and QA systems.
• Investigate and perform root cause analysis for quality issues (8D, FMEA, fishbone).
• Lead initiatives to improve inspection processes and reduce inspection times.
• Stay updated on inspection technologies and trends in aerospace.
