Job summary

GE Aerospace Singapore is seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate CNC and conventional machines, including EDM, lathes, mills and grinders, to produce jigs, fixtures, tools, dies and components according to drawings.

You will read manufacturing operation sheets in English, maintain records, perform routine maintenance and work within a collaborative team at the GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore site, a major hub for MRO in Asia Pacific.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE O level with 3 years of relevant machining experience.
• Preferably NITEC/Higher NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering.
• Able to read and follow engineering drawings and SOPs in English.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional or CNC machines (EDM, milling, turning, grinders).
• Follow product through the machine shop using various tools to finish parts.
• Use gauges and measuring instruments and maintain records as per SOPs.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and housekeeping in the shop.
