Job summary

RTX is seeking a hands-on Gearbox Assembler in Singapore. Onsite role requiring assembly of mechanical components, quality checks, and precise documentation to meet specifications. Join a team under Collins Aerospace with a focus on safe, efficient manufacturing processes.

Candidate should have a NITEC/Higher NITEC in Precision Engineering, 2+ years in precision engineering, basic English, and be prepared for weekly rotating shifts in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• NITEC / Higher NITEC in Precision Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years’ working experience in a Precision Engineering environment.
• Basic command of written and spoken English.
• Able to work weekly rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Component Assembly: Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies to form complete gearboxes according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Inspection and Testing: Conduct inspections and tests to ensure that components meet quality standards and specifications.
• Use of Tools and Equipment: Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to assemble and test gearboxes.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, test results, and any adjustments or repairs made.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve assembly issues, ensuring that the final product is fully functional and meets all performance requirements.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, quality control, and other team members to ensure efficient and accurate assembly processes.
