Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Singapore invites applications for an onsite gearbox assembly role. You will assemble gearboxes from engineering drawings, test components, and document results.

A background in precision engineering and strong attention to detail are essential. Requirements include NITEC / Higher NITEC in Precision Engineering or equivalent, at least 2 years of relevant experience, proficient English, and the ability to work weekly rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Basic command of written and spoken English.
• Able to work weekly rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Component Assembly: Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies to form complete gearboxes according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Inspection and Testing: Conduct inspections and tests to ensure that components meet quality standards and specifications. Identify and address any defects or issues.
• Use of Tools and Equipment: Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to assemble and test gearboxes.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, test results, and any adjustments or repairs made.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve assembly issues, ensuring that the final product is fully functional and meets all performance requirements.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, quality control, and other team members to ensure efficient and accurate assembly processes.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
