About Communications & Engagement
The Communications & Engagement (C&E) team oversees reputation management and stakeholder engagement for Temasek Trust. We build trust and understanding through clear narratives, thought leadership, and purposeful engagement.
The Role
Designation: Advocate, Communications & Engagement, Temasek Trust
Reporting to: Head, Communications & Engagement, Temasek Trust
We are seeking a seasoned communications generalist with deep public relations expertise, particularly in corporate profiling, media relations, and issues and reputation management. The successful candidate will also be proficient in developing high-quality content across formats and platforms.
Working closely with senior leaders, subject matter experts, and partners across the Temasek Trust Collective (TTC) and beyond, you will shape integrated communications strategies, translate complex issues into clear narratives, and deliver communications across channels.
You should be comfortable moving between strategy and execution in a lean, dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement public relations and integrated communications strategies that support organisational priorities and strengthen Temasek Trust’s reputation.
- Lead proactive and reactive media engagement, including cultivating relationships, identifying and pitching stories, developing materials, preparing spokespeople, and managing enquiries.
- Advise senior leaders on media, reputational, and emerging issues, monitor the external environment, and develop appropriate responses.
2. Content, Digital & Integrated Communications
- Create clear, compelling content across formats and platforms
- Develop and execute corporate and spokesperson profiling strategies on LinkedIn, including executive positioning, thought leadership, content, and amplification.
- Translate public relations priorities into integrated campaigns across earned, owned, shared, and paid channels, using audience insights and performance data to improve outcomes.
3. Stakeholder Engagement & Project Management
- Build trusted relationships with TTC members, partners, media, agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Manage and support key stakeholder engagements, organisational initiatives, campaigns, and events.
- Manage complex communications projects involving several stakeholders, agencies, and workstreams.
Qualifications
Experience
- At least 10 years of relevant corporate communications experience, with expertise in media relations, issues and reputation management.
- Proven track record developing and delivering integrated communications and content strategies, including digital and social media, executive communications, and corporate and senior spokesperson profiling.
- Extensive stakeholder engagement and senior advisory experience, with the ability to counsel senior leaders. Experience in the finance, impact, or philanthropy sectors would be highly advantageous.

- Strong media relations capability, news sense, and networks, with the ability to shape and pitch compelling stories.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex subjects for different formats, platforms, and audiences.
- Excellent strategic judgement, project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to anticipate communications needs, risks, and opportunities, and use audience insights and measurement to inform communications strategies.

Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field.
- Experience in a reputable communications agency, ideally combined with in-house experience, would be advantageous.
