Job summary

Cirrus Logic is seeking an ambitious engineer to join the Advanced Technology team in Edinburgh. You will drive enablement of new mixed‑signal technologies, work with external foundries and internal teams to meet roadmap goals, and tackle complex reliability and performance challenges.

The role requires a strong background in power and low‑power devices, planar technology development, and device characterization, with fluency in English and Mandarin.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master’s/PhD in Electronics, Physics, or Materials Engineering with 5+ years in semiconductors.
• Strong knowledge of device physics and device characterization.
• Experience with planar technology development, process integration, or technology transfer (180nm–22nm).
• Detailed knowledge of device physics and reliability concepts (HCI, TDDB, SOA).
• Strong data analysis skills for solving complex technical problems.
• Knowledge of analog & mixed‑signal design and related process implications.

Responsibilities

• Drive New Technology Introduction to support the product roadmap.
• Collaborate with IC design, marketing, and product engineering to identify silicon technology needs.
• Engage foundry suppliers to guide base technology and develop custom modules/devices.
• Work with cross-functional teams to resolve performance and reliability issues in mixed-signal ICs.
• Support design and layout teams with process knowledge and SOA design rule compliance (DFM).
• Travel to other foundry locations and Cirrus Design Sites as needed.
