Nanyang International School invites applications for an Adjunct Teacher – Chinese Language. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, support language development, and foster appreciation of Chinese language, culture, and heritage.

You will plan and conduct lessons, differentiate instruction, assess progress, maintain records, and collaborate with the Chinese Language Department to support school programmes while upholding safeguarding and confidentiality.

Qualificações

• Relevant academic qualifications in Chinese Language, Chinese Language Education, Education, or a related discipline.
• Teaching qualifications or relevant teaching experience in Chinese language education would be an advantage.
• Strong proficiency in written and spoken Chinese.
• Good communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver lessons that engage students and support effective learning.
• A student-centred approach with the ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning needs.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and conduct Chinese language lessons in accordance with the school’s curriculum, teaching objectives, and learning requirements.
• Develop students’ proficiency in Chinese listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
• Prepare appropriate teaching materials, learning activities, assignments, and assessments.
• Differentiate instruction to cater to students with varying language abilities and learning needs.
• Monitor, assess, and provide constructive feedback on students’ learning progress.
• Maintain a positive, engaging, and well-managed classroom environment.
• Encourage students to develop an interest in Chinese language, culture, and traditions.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, participation, and academic performance, where required.
• Communicate students’ learning progress and areas for improvement to relevant school personnel.
• Work collaboratively with the Chinese Language Department and other teachers to support school programmes and learning objectives.
• Adhere to school policies, professional standards, student safeguarding requirements, and confidentiality guidelines.

The Adjunct Teacher – Chinese Language is responsible for delivering engaging and effective Chinese language lessons to students, supporting their language development, and fostering an appreciation of Chinese language, culture, and heritage. The teacher will work collaboratively with the school’s teaching team to support students’ learning needs and achieve the intended learning outcomes.
