Job summary

About the role

This is a Chinese language teaching position where you will plan and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the curriculum and students' learning needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Chinese language lessons in accordance with the curriculum and students' learning needs
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, and classroom activities
• Teach Chinese listening, speaking, reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension
• Assess students' academic progress and provide constructive feedback
• Monitor students' performance and implement appropriate strategies to support their learning
• Maintain effective classroom management and foster a positive learning environment
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding students' progress, where applicable
• Participate in meetings, training sessions, school events, and other academic activities
• Maintain accurate attendance records, assessment results, and student progress reports

About you

• Diploma or degree in Chinese Language, Chinese Education, Education, or a related field is preferred
• Teaching qualification or relevant teaching certification is an advantage
• Strong proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, including reading and writing
• Good command of English for communication with colleagues, parents, and students, where required
• Previous teaching experience is preferred; fresh graduates with a strong interest in teaching may also apply
• Familiarity with curriculum planning, student assessment, and classroom management
• Patient, responsible, enthusiastic, and passionate about teaching
• Good interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to students of different abilities and learning needs
