Job summary

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry or related field with hands-on synthetic organic chemistry experience.
• Experience in synthesis and purification of antibody-drug conjugates; linker-payload chemistry and bioconjugation required.
• Hands-on SPPS experience including resin handling, coupling cycles, cleavage and LC-MS analysis.
• Experience with amide bond formation and conjugation methods, including reagent selection and protecting groups.
• Experience with ADC purification/characterization using SEC/FPLC, HIC, LC-MS, HPLC/UPLC and UV-Vis.
• Strong documentation, problem-solving, scientific writing and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute multi-step solution-phase synthesis and SPPS of peptides, linkers, payloads and ADC-related molecules.
• Develop and optimize conjugation and purification workflows to meet project specs.
• Purify peptides, small molecules, intermediates, linker-payloads and ADCs using chromatography.
• Characterize products for identity, purity, DAR and aggregation using NMR, LC-MS, HPLC/UPLC, UV-Vis, SEC.
• Troubleshoot chemistry and purification steps and propose practical solutions.
• Maintain accurate experimental records and prepare reports and manuscripts.
• Maintain good lab safety and assist with related duties as needed.
