Job summary

LMA Recruitment Singapore Pte. Ltd. is partnering with a well-established life insurer to recruit a Modelling Senior Manager.

The role focuses on complex life insurance models, setting modelling standards and driving actuarial initiatives across the business. You will lead development and governance of models, collaborate with stakeholders in Singapore and the region, and apply Prophet modelling tools to strengthen valuation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Qualified or near-qualified actuary with recognised actuarial body.
• Strong experience in life insurance actuarial modelling, including stochastic modelling and valuation.
• Experience with Prophet is highly advantageous.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Collaborative team player who engages stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, enhancement and maintenance of actuarial models for life valuation and financial reporting.
• Evaluate modelling approaches, assumptions and results, providing independent technical challenge.
• Improve model governance, controls and documentation for robust modelling.

We are partnering with a well-established life insurer to hire a Modelling Senior Manager to strengthen its actuarial modelling capabilities. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex life insurance models, enhance modelling standards and contribute to key actuarial initiatives across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the development, enhancement and maintenance of actuarial models supporting life insurance valuation and financial reporting.
• Evaluate modelling approaches, actuarial assumptions and results, providing independent technical challenge where needed.
• Strengthen model governance, controls and documentation to ensure robust and reliable modelling practices.
• Identify opportunities to streamline modelling processes, improve existing tools and enhance operational efficiency.
• Partner with actuarial and business stakeholders in Singapore and across the region to provide technical guidance and resolve modelling issues.

What We're Looking For

• A qualified or near-qualified actuary with a recognised actuarial professional body.
• Solid experience in life insurance actuarial modelling, including stochastic modelling and valuation.
• Practical experience with Prophet modelling software will be highly advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights.
• A collaborative professional who can engage effectively with stakeholders and drive continuous improvements.
