Job summary

Sport Singapore is seeking an Active Health Coach to manage the Active Health Lab operations, run health and wellness assessments, and deliver workshops and coaching services in physical and digital spaces.

The role emphasizes evidence-based programme development, stakeholder engagement, and execution of group and individual health sessions for the community and corporate clients. A fixed-term contract of 2 years may be offered to successful candidates.

Responsibilities

• Review literature and synthesise evidence to develop holistic health and wellness programmes.
• Co-create content with Planning & Partnership teams and digital resources for online use.
• Engage ActiveSG and external stakeholders to develop programmes.
• Run day-to-day operations of Active Health Lab facilities.
• Schedule workshops for all community segments to impart Active Health knowledge.
• Deliver health coaching and wellness services (online and in-person).
• Conduct exercise, nutrition, and sleep workshops (virtual and face-to-face).
• Provide follow-up programming for community and corporate partners.

What you will be working on:

The Active Health Coach (Programme Development and Design) ensures the smooth running of Active Health lab operations and services, including the conduct of fitness and health assessments, workshops, exercise testing and health and wellness coaching as we enable citizens to embark on their health and wellness journey in both the physical and digital spaces.

Role and Responsibilities

• Review literature and synthesise evidence to develop evidence-based holistic health and wellness programmes


• Co-create content with Planning & Partnership team and Taskforce members (segment-based) and digital resources for online consumption


• Engage ActiveSG and external stakeholders from community and healthcare to collaborate on the development of holistic health and wellness programmes


• Run day-to-day operations of Active Health Lab facilities and spaces


• Schedule workshops and programmes to all segments of the community to impart Active Health knowledge


• Collaborate with ActiveSG and community partners to deliver Active Health services


• Conduct exercise, nutrition, and sleep workshops (virtual and face-to-face)


• Deliver exercise testing and follow up programming for community and corporate partners (virtual and face-to-face)


• Conduct group workshops on movement and non-movement tools to enable adults to flourish in the working environment


• Conduct individual and group health and wellness coaching services for working adults


• Provide online health and wellness coaching support for working adults

We are looking for self-motivated individuals who value integrity, teamwork and take pride in going the extra mile to provide excellent service to stakeholders and the community. This individual should be a sport advocate through living an active lifestyle and staying active.

In addition, an ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Specialisation in Sport Nutrition, Psychology or Physiotherapy would be an advantage


• At least 3 years of proven experience and/or track record in content development for exercise, health and wellness programmes


• Experience in operations work with fitness and health/healthcare industry


• Excellent communication skills


• Possess the aptitude and attitude to engage with the general public and serve the citizens


• Willing to take up the challenge to establish norms and best practices for the Active Health lab operations and content development


• Adaptable to fast-moving pace of services and strategies for the lab


• Open to potential changing nature of work scope, enthusiastic and willing to learn on the job


• Possess a keen eye for details


• Enthusiastic and willing to learn on the job


• Self-motivated and takes initiative to perform tasks

The level of offer will commensurate with applicants’ experience and track records. Successful candidates will be offered a 2-year / Fixed Term contract in the first instance. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
