Job summary

Dyson Institute is seeking an Acoustics Engineer to own acoustic and vibration performance across product development. You will define requirements, implement validation plans, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions on time and to spec.

Responsibilities include developing experimental or simulation approaches (testing, FEA/CFD), diagnosing issues with signal analysis, and contributing to tool and process improvements across Dyson engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Hold a degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Mechatronics engineering or similar.
• Proven experience in product development with strong analytical focus.
• Experience with signal processing, vibration analysis and acoustics techniques.

Responsibilities

• Own development and delivery of acoustic and vibration performance through product development cycles.
• Define, capture and manage acoustics requirements and validation strategies.
• Apply Dyson methodologies to deliver solutions on time, cost, and quality.
• Develop and implement experimental and/or simulation-based approaches (testing, FEA/CFD, modelling).
• Diagnose and resolve acoustic and vibration issues using signal analysis and TPAs.
