Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a field service engineer for chiller maintenance and commissioning. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot systems, and ensure reliable cold water and AHU performance at client sites.

You will interact with clients, provide technical guidance, prepare reports, travel to sites, and respond to breakdowns during standby. A relevant engineering qualification and 3–5 years of experience are preferred; safety is a must.

Qualifications

• Minimum Nitec, Diploma, or Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical HVAC/chiller issues.
• 3–5 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of chiller systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding chiller operations and maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues and implement effective solutions.
• Educate clients on proper operation and maintenance practices to extend the lifespan of their chiller systems.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports outlining service activities, findings, and recommendations for future improvements.
• Execute commissioning processes for new chiller installations, ensuring systems are installed correctly and functioning as designed.
• Collaborate with agent, customer and contractors to verify system performance and compliance with specifications.
• Foster a collaborative working relationship with contractors, encouraging teamwork and shared problem-solving.
• Work closely with the contractor to share knowledge, improve processes, and enhance overall service delivery.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing service tasks to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct safety briefings and ensure all parties understand their responsibilities regarding safety.
• May involve working in various environmental conditions, including outdoor settings.
• Field-based role with travel to client sites.
• Available to respond to chiller breakdown calls during assigned standby shifts.

Requirements:

• Min Nitec/ Dip/ Deg in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or any other relevant qualifications
• Able to trouble shoot both electrical and mechanical issues related to HVAC / Chiller is preferred.
• Min 3-5 years of experience is highly advantageous
